You can continue to shop Marcia Hovland handmade items and store inventory with confidence through this website, in person at Marcia Hovland Studio, and at events around the country. We use Square Financial Services to complete all Point of Sale transactions. Secure Credit Card or contactless transactions are accepted right away, either in person or through the online checkout cart. In certain situations, we accept business or personal checks as well.

Square works with any US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay International logo. Square also supports mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Purchases can be made on this site, in person at Marcia Hovland Studio in Royal Oak MI, in person at events around the country, or by calling Marcia directly.

Order Confirmation and Shipping:

Order confirmation of purchases online are made within one business day of placing the order. Unfortunately, confirmation emails sometimes get stuck in email provider’s spam folders. If you do not receive a confirmation email after one business day, call 248-398-2951 to confirm your order has been processed. Leave a message if we do not pick-up your call immediately, and we will get back to you as soon as we are able too. Order will typically be shipped within two business days of order confirmation.

Additional handling time will be announced in the checkout cart before you complete the purchase in the rare event it may be necessary to increase packaging time. Expedited shipping is available to most areas, and will be listed in the checkout screen for you to select from before payment is complete.

 

Changes or Cancellations to your completed order:

Please call us immediately with order changes and cancellations. We will accommodate all changes and cancellations as long as they are received prior to shipping. Please refer to our Return Policy if changes are necessary after order is shipped.

 

Product Descriptions:

We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colors, measurements, dimensions, and descriptions of the products shown on the Website. These are approximations to assist you in reviewing products, may not be exact, and are subject to change. For example, the colors you see might depend on your monitor, and we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be accurate. The nature of handcrafted items make exact proportions and sizes estimations only. Return Policy:

We accept most merchandise for return in it’s original packaging and original condition, that is accompanied by the original order number. Custom orders cannot be returned. Return your items within 30-days for full merchandise refund. Refunds will not include shipping costs. Returns should include a copy of the original purchase order forms, and must be sent pre-paid to:

Intellectual Property Rights:

Marcia Hovland owns the Intellectual Property of each unique item, which is not transferred after purchase.  Items cannot be replicated via print, digital copies, physical replicas, and other means without her written permission.

Marcia Hovland is a renowned Metro-Detroit based artist, specializing in handmade ceramic tiles and jewelry. Her signature artistic style is creating a fairytale in each and every individual piece, with recurring themes of animals, fairies, insects, outdoors scenes, and simply detailed faces on animals, plants, and people alike.

Product Pricing, Availability and Purchase Conditions:

Prices for items and shipping are displayed in US Dollars, valid in the USA only. Please call for more accurate estimation of pricing and shipping for international orders. Regardless of estimations, you will be responsible for applicable taxes, regardless of our best effort to estimate prior to your order. Products, pricing and availability are subject to change.

All funds must clear Square transactions before purchase is considered finalized, and delivery of item will be completed either in person or online, unless special arrangements are made with Marcia directly. Inventory online and in person changes in real-time. Marcia Hovland Studio is not responsible for abandon or incomplete ‘cart’ transactions, and a unique item may be purchased by a different customer in the meantime. Once an item has successfully completed purchase through Square shopping cart, it will be removed from the inventory list immediately unless in the very rare event that another customer is purchasing it simultaneous to your transaction. If this rare event occurs, you will be notified immediately to resolve the issue.

Financial transactions for purchases on marciahovland.com or in person will be completed through Square, Inc. financial services and software company. Marcia Hovland Studio does not collect credit card data directly via this site, and uses the Square transaction system to facilitate your purchase. No individual working on marciahovland.com has access to your actual credit card information, only access to notification of transaction status as complete or incomplete. Marcia Hovland Studio is not responsible for data loss or transaction issues that may occur in the Square shopping cart, or between your financial institution and Square. Personal address information is retained as long as no return-to-sender mail or email is returned from an incorrect address. We purge our mailing list of inaccurate data regularly.
